Industry Survey Results on Eye Care Referrals
In December, we surveyed the industry on eye care referrals and received responses from 59 practices from across the country. Survey respondents ranged from single doctor practices to regional eye care practices with more than 10 doctors.

While 97% indicated the importance of referrals, nearly 56% are struggling with losing referrals and/or knowing where referrals come from. In addition, 87% reported fax or phone as the primary method to receive referrals. Similarly, 74% reported sending information back to the referring doctor in the same manner.
